The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is warning of very dangerous fire conditions for Labor Day.

The agency posted this statement on its website on Monday:

"Red Flag Warnings are in effect for much of southeast Wyoming today. Afternoon humidity is expected to fall into the single digits and will combine with wind gusts of 25 mph or higher, to create conditions for rapid fire spreads. Please follow any burn ban restrictions in your area to avoid starting a fire that most likely would become out of control in a short amount of time. Be safe out there if you're planning any labor Day outdoor activities today."
