Ever have too much to drink and forget what time it is, or what day it is, or what year?

Just make sure it's not for real.

You never know.

Back in 2017 a Casper man claiming to be from the future has been arrested for having too much to drink in the present.

I wonder what the exchange rate was on the money he bought the booze with, or did he get drunk and then travel to our time?

MAYBE - He set up something to ferment in his time, then traveled to the future so he could drink it when he was fermented.

ANYWAY

Casper Police officers say at around 10:30 pm on Monday, October 2nd, 2017, they were dispatched to a residence on East 2nd Street, for a man who was stating he was from the future and he was there to help people.

Well, there goes the fermentation theory.

Bryant Johnson was claiming that he was from the year 2048, and was trying to warn the people of Casper that aliens were coming next year, and they should leave as soon as possible.

If I were the cop on the scene I would have asked for some ID, with the year printed on it.

He added that he wanted to speak to the president of the town.

When asked how he was able to time travel he told police that aliens had filled his body with alcohol and had him stand on a giant pad which transported him to 2017, but he ended up in the wrong year and was supposed to be in 2018.

Officers noted that Johnson had watery bloodshot eyes, slightly slurred speech, and the smell of alcohol coming from him. All signs of ALIEN ABDUCTION!

It was determined that Johnson could not take care of himself and was causing a disturbance in the emergency room.

Well, sure.

I mean, CASPER WYOMING IS DOOMED and these people can't find the president of the city. I'd freak out too.

An early breath sample showed he had a blood alcohol content of .136.

Wow, how was he even alive?

Johnson was arrested for public intoxication.

The aliens failed to show up in court to testify on his behalf.

Then again - I think this guy saved us!

We are well past 2018 and the aliens never showed up to destroy us.

Reading The Past - Chugwater Wyoming Newspaper

These pages of the old Chugwter Wyoming newspaper show us coverage of the region from back in the 1940s.

There was little local news, other than the war.

But what was published at the time was important to the people of the area.

It was, in most case, the only news they had from outside their little ranch or town.
