I'm going to offer my opinion on this, right up front. Why are we trying to do this again? It's a waste of taxpayer money for something that has already failed.

Wyoming is moving forward with a request for proposals to spend approximately $17.9 million in remaining federal National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) funds through the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT).

How about we just send the money back to DC?

This money was sent to states under the Biden Administration as an attempt to push electric vehicles on the American people. The EV market is failing, and Wyoming business owners have already shown that they are not interested in the program. The Trump administration is repealing old Biden-era rules on cars.

America never needed to send subsidies to states in order to build out gas stations for cars. So why do we have to do it for EVs? Let the free market handle it, just as the free market handled gas and diesel sales.

WYDOT argues that installing the station will help EV owners visit Wyoming and therefore help our tourist industry. But did people driving gas cars need that help? Again, just let the market handle it.

What we are going to end up with is a bunch of broken-down EV charging stations that nobody is interested in repairing because they operate at a loss.

I went searching for EV charging stations in Wyoming and found several locations that either don't work or have already been shut down and removed.

Our nation is over $40 trillion in debt. $17.9 million might be a drop in the bucket, but we have to end waste every chance we get.

SEE: 39 Hot Cars On Display In Wyoming

The goal of this gallery is not to provide every detail of every car, their modifications and their owners.

This was just a cool car show in Casper Wyoming.

Not matter if the people attending were into cars or not.

There was a lot of OHHH and AHHH's heard up and down every street.
