The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service has upgraded a freeze watch to a Freeze Warning for much of eastern Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle. The warning is in effect from midnight until 9:00 AM on Thursday. The Warning includes the cities of Cheyenne and Laramie.

"A Freeze Warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.

Take steps now to protect tender plants pets and livestock from the cold. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing."
