The Zillow Home Value Index and the data on Wyoming’s high-end property markets is absolutely revealing.
One of the most striking things to note is the consistent rise in home values over the last 15 years, with some towns nearly doubling in value.
From 2020 to 2025, several towns saw over 45% appreciation in just five years—a rate of return that significantly outpaces most traditional investments.
If you had invested in property hopping to take advantage, you would have made some serious money.
Let's start with the biggest jump of all, not surprisingly, Jackson saw an 89.26% jump in home prices over a 5-year period.

Fort Bridger home price values jumped 55.88% in just the past five years.
During that same time, the cute little town of Buffalo, Wyoming, saw prices jump 49.66% .

Even the tiny town of Kaycee saw a significant price increase.
Nobody is surprised to see that Sheridan's prices leaped 41.54%.
Cody, Wyoming, saw a 62.55% jump.
Dayton, Wyoming, 43%.
Here is a shocker for you - Dubois saw a 69% increase in real estate prices during that time. Perhaps because they are so close to the Tetons.
Pinedale, 55.76%.
Afton was close behind.
BUT HOLD ON - Let's go far to the other side of the state and look a the dumpy little town, if you can call it that, of Rozette. They saw a 46.33%percentage % increase in prices.
Investing in Daniel would have worked hard over the years, with 61.15% appreciation in just the past five years.
