I-25 Wyoming – Lots Of Road Construction This Summer
If you're heading north or south through Wyoming on Interstate 25 this summer (2025) you'll want these construcion sites.
WYDOT is still working on an area just south of Douglas known as Orin Junction.
No matter which way you're going, you'll see it at the bottom of the hills, down by the river as you pass under the overpass.
It's a short construction area, but the speed limit does drop to 45mph under that overpass.
There is still plenty of construction in Casper.
This area gets a little tricky, and you'll need to pay attention to stay safe.
Be prepared to drop down to 45mph for a long way.
You'll be confined to one thin lane with cement barriers to keep you in check.
It's a tight ride through there, and you'll have to switch lanes a couple of times.
Just south of Kaycee, Wyoming, is a long stretch of cones on both sides of the highway.
This one gets a little annoying as the speed limit keeps changing.
It's one lane, both north and south.
The speed limit drops to 65mph, and every so often, at a bridge, it drops to 45mph, then back up again to 65.
This goes on for a LONG TIME!
But at least the traffic keeps moving with no bottlenecking.
We always complain that the road needs to be fixed. Then we complain while they are fixing it. But we love it when they are done and the ride is new, clean, and smooth.
