Casper College is one of the premiere colleges in the country and people will come from all over Wyoming, the US and World, to attend school or play sports for the Thunderbirds.

The school is rich in history, both for academics and sports. Especially in Women's Basketball. Earlier this year, women's basketball coach Dwight Gunnare, captured his 500th career win and the Lady T-Birds basketball team at Casper College are proven winners.

This past season, the ladies went 30-4, won the region 9 championship (which they've done for 6 straight years), and competed in the National Junior College Athletic Association DI Women's Basketball Championship Tournament.

The 2022-23 team was made up of women with many different backgrounds. Some of the players are from Wyoming, some from neighboring states, some from countries like Spain and Hungary. The players come to Casper College because they know they're not only going to be playing for a top notch basketball team, but also to get a great education.

It was just announced by the NJCAA that Casper College Women's Basketball Team is ranked #8 in the country for the NJCAA Academic Team, with an overall GPA of 3.63. Also, 7 of the Lady T-Birds were named on the NJCAA Academic Individual Teams.
