Tegen Seeds of Douglas Accepts Preferred Walk-On Offer From UW
Douglas football lineman Tegen Seeds is one of 8 players who were offered preferred walk-on status for the Wyoming Cowboy football program. Those players are guaranteed a spot on the roster in the fall and could earn a scholarship in their 2nd year.
Seeds is 6-2 and 297 pounds so it was no wonder that he was a 3A All-State selection as a defensive lineman in 2023 and an All-State Pick on the offensive line in 2022. In his senior season on defense, seeds rang up 55 tackles with 5 fumbles recoveries and was in 59.5 tackles as a junior. Seeds has been named the 3A Lineman of the Year twice and was a Super 25 selection.
Seeds was also making a name for himself in track and field as he was 3rd in the 3A shot-put at the State Outdoor Meet with a toss of 47-7.5. He took 4th in the discus in that state meet going 135-6. In his sophomore season. Seeds was 7th in the shot at the 3A Outdoor Championships at 45-8 and 9th in the discus, going 124-11.
