The 52nd annual Wyoming Shrine Bowl All-Star football game will take place on Saturday at Natrona County High School in Casper at 2 pm, marking the last prep football game for this group of seniors. Players from around the state and from all five classifications are participating, making this a compelling event.

The players from the smaller schools who play 9-Man and 6-Man football will have to adjust to the 11-Man game, and more often than not, these players hold their own against the guys from the bigger schools and then some. Running back Caden Clifford of Big Piney was named All-State in 1A 9-Man as he rang up 1427 yards rushing and 18 touchdowns. He also wrestled and took 4th at 144 pounds at the 2A State Tournament, plus he was part of the Punchers track team that took 2nd in the 4x100 meters at the 2A State Meet.

Louden Bremer of Lingle-Fort Laramie is an outstanding 3-sport athlete who had 1218 yards rushing in football to earn All-State status in 9-Man, along with a state championship in the 110 hurdles at the 1A Outdoor championships and a 3rd place finish at 165 pounds at the 2A State Wrestling Championships.

We talked to both of those guys about the Shrine Bowl and their athletic careers. We also have a few photos of Tuesday morning's practice in our gallery below.
