Wyoming Man Killed in Rollover Crash Near Gillette
A 43-year-old Wyoming man is dead after rolling his pickup near Gillette, the Wyoming Highway Patrol says.
The crash happened around 11:27 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17 near milepost 131 on Wyoming 51.
According to a fatality crash summary, Mark Christman was headed west when he lost control of his Ford F-250 and went off the left side of the highway.
"The Ford tripped, rolled down an embankment, and went through a fence before resting on the passenger side," the summary reads.
Christman was not wearing his seat belt and died from his injuries.
The summary does not list any possible contributing factors.
Christman is the 19th reported person to die on Wyoming's highways so far this year.
According to his obituary, Christman was born in Springfield, Massachusetts, and grew up in nearby Chicopee before moving to Gillette.
"Mark worked construction most of his life and was an avid outdoorsman," his obituary reads.
