Wyoming High School Student Arrested For Having Gun In School

Police in Rock Springs arrested a high school student on Thursday for having a gun on campus.

That's according to a post on the RSPD Facebook page.

Gun Was Discovered During An Evacuation Drill

According to the post, an evacuation drill was held a Rock Springs High School on Thursday. During the drill a teacher found out that a student had a gun. The teacher notified administration and confiscated the gun. Law enforcement was still on campus for the drill, and arrested the student.

The release says charges will be filed in the case, but because of the student's age no names or other details will be released.
