Some of us are too lazy to walk one block to the store. Others will hike hundreds of miles because they want to experience it.

The video below follows an adventurer as he solo hikes 508 miles / 25 days through Wyoming, from the north in Yellowstone, over the wild mountains of the Wind River Range, and through the dry and flat Red Desert to the south, following the Continental Divide Trail

He started the Continental Divide Trail in late June 2025 at the border to Canada, this is miles 970 to 1470ish, from Montana to Colorado, hiking Southbound

The Continental Divide Trail travels through some of Wyoming’s most stunningly diverse landscapes: Yellowstone National Park, with steaming geysers and volcanic activity; the craggy Teton Wilderness and Absaroka Mountain Range; the geographic phenomenon of Two Ocean Pass; the Bridger Wilderness and Wind River Range boasting 1,300 lakes and some of the largest glaciers in the lower 48 states; the historic South Pass City, where hundreds of thousands of travelers passed on the Mormon, Oregon, and California Trails; the deserted mining town of Battle and the Sierra Madre Mountains; and the unique endorheic Great Divide Basin.

This hiker edited the entire hike into a fifteen-minute YouTube video with some of the most stunning views and landscapes that Wyoming has to offer.

Jay Em, Wyoming, Frozen In Time

Jay Em, what an unusual name for a town. The few people who live there are proud of what their spot on earth once was, and they work to preserve it. They keep this little community frozen in time.
