An adult male was shot in Natrona County on Thursday night, April 10.

The Natrona County Sheriffs Office said in a press release that dispatch received a call at about 8:45 p.m. reporting a shooting near Stuckenhoff Street and Frontier Street, off of East Ormsby Road.

The initial information stated that there was a physical altercation between three adult males known to each other and that during the fight, one male was shot.

When deputies arrived, the reporting party was located and treated for minor injuries on scene by responding Fire-EMS personnel. Prior to deputies arrival, the male who sustained the gunshot wound was driven to the hospital by another male to receive medical treatment.

The driver was located in his vehicle near the hospital by Casper Police Officers, he was transported to the Natrona County Sheriff's Office for questioning.

According to the release, a preliminary investigation suggests there was an argument between neighboring property owners which escalated into a physical one.

During the altercation, a firearm was discharged, and one male sustained a serious but non-life-threatening injury; he continues to undergo medical treatment at the hospital.

The other two males were interviewed and released, this incident is still under active and ongoing investigation.

All three individuals involved are cooperating with law enforcement; this morning, investigators continue to conduct interviews and process evidence from the scene.

Investigators believe this to be an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the public.
