New ‘Make-Your-Own’ Wine Shop Opens In Cheyenne
A new Cheyenne business is offering customers the chance to create, design and bottle their own custom wines. Vintages recently relocated to Cheyenne from Fort Collins, where they have specialized in unique wine tasting experiences for nearly 20 years.
The make-your-own-wine concept begins with a series of questions designed to match connoisseurs with their own individual flavor profile. From there, customers taste a variety of wines before choosing a personalized blend, which Vintages then creates in five-gallon batches, sourcing grapes from around the world. After the fermentation process is complete, customers help design the labels for their unique wines, which are bottled and corked in the shop.
Owner Lino DiFelice picked up the family tradition from his parents and has now been sharing his love for wine for 37 years.
"I learned around the kitchen table," he told the Wyoming Tribune Eagle. "It’s my passion."
The custom small-batch wines are popular for business functions, weddings, and other special events. Along with tastings, Vintages also offers weekly blending workshops to familiarize customers with the winemaking process.
Vintages is now accepting tasting reservations for their Cheyenne location on 309 North American Road by phone at (307) 426-4635 or on their website VintagesWine.com.
