Wyoming is known as one of the greatest hiking states in the nation.

If you've been out there walking, have you ever come across someone running a trail?

Did you know that mountain trail running was a competition?

More than that, it's an international competition.

One of Wyoming's own citizens just came in 3d for international trail running.

Twenty-six-year-old Teton Village runner Anna Gibson left her mark at her first-ever World Mountain and Trail Running Championship in Spain last weekend.

She has a fan club.

Watch this video below to learn more about Wyoming's amazing trail running champion.

In this episode, the video above, of the RunThrough Trails podcast, host James Tilley sits down with professional Brooks trail runner Anna Gibson.

Growing up in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Anna competed as a track athlete before moving into trail running, while also excelling in other disciplines such as skiing and cycling.

Her diverse athletic background has shaped her training philosophy, emphasising the importance of cross-training and adaptability.

With the World Championships in Canfranc, Spain on the horizon, Anna talks about her preparation and the mental strategies that keep her sharp on race day. From exploring unique race formats to reflecting on the exciting growth of trail running as a professional sport, this conversation highlights Anna’s journey as a versatile athlete and her passion for competition.

She started strong as part of Team USA in two of the event’s five races.

She earned a bronze medal in the Uphill 6 K on Thursday, staying ahead of over 100 other women.

The race winds through a pine forest and up the summit of Larraca Mountain, covering more than 3,000 feet of elevation gain over just four miles. It's not so much time miles but the elevation, the climb, that makes it extra hard.

She crossed the finish line in 46 minutes and seven seconds, coming up just eight seconds behind the Finish runner Susanna Saapunki. Nina Engelhard of Germany took gold with a time of 45 minutes and 33 seconds.

2nd Annual Cheyenne Air Show Was AMAIZING!

The event aimed to spark interest in aviation and highlight the need for pilots, featuring aerial performances and aviation displays.

WOW, what a show it was.

The point of these airshows is to help bring Cheyenne's old terminal back as something new. It might take about $10 million to do it.

Imagine it having a restaurant, retail stores, and a place for private pilots to visit from around the country.
