Uninvited Bobcat Moves Into Colorado Home
We do not adopt cats.
Cats adopt us.
But what if that cat is something like a mountain lion or a bobcat?
Do we really want that in our house?
In Jefferson County, Colorado, a woman found a bobcat, napping in her living room.
Can't blame the cat. It just needed a nice place to hang out for a while.
Humans make such nice caves, don't they?
Deputies in Jefferson County dealt with a rare intruder after a bobcat was found in a Ken Caryl home last Thursday.
FOX31's Gabby Easterwood has tips from experts on what residents should do if something similar happens in their home.
So now that the cat is in the house, how do they get it out?
In the video, you'll hear a police officer suggest using the "red dot" because cats love to chase red dots.
But does anyone have a little laser pointer?
The officer did not, so he tried his flashlight.
The cat did not go for it.
The lady of the house does have some indoor/outdoor cats.
She heard noise downstairs late in the night and thought it was one of them.
But then she went downstairs and - YIKES!
Finally, some wildlife officials were called.
They suggested just leaving the cat alone. He won't move when people are harassing him. But leave him alone, and he will go when he is no longer afraid.
The cat is now gone, and the little kitties that the lady wants in the house are just fine.
