While last week's originally scheduled 2019 Cheyenne Christmas Parade was postponed by a winter storm.Cheyenne-based meteorologist Don Day Jr. says the rescheduled event shouldn't have any weather issues.

The 2019 parade was originally slated for November 30, in keeping with the long-time tradition of holding the event on the first Saturday after Thanksgiving.

But a combination of extreme winds and blowing and drifting snow caused parade officials to postpone the event by one week, to Dec. 7.

Day, who is the founder and president of Dayweather Inc. in Cheyenne, says it looks like Saturday night's weather will feature dry conditions and temperatures in the 30s, with winds of 10-20 mph.
