Why Do Colorado Drivers Speed In Wyoming?
Do Colorado drivers drive extra fast in Wyoming?
Or am I just imagining this?
When I drive Wyoming highways, I'm going maybe a mile or two an hour above the speed limit, which keeps me in the middle of the flow.
I'm not the fastest car out there, but I'm not the slowest.
Every so often, I'll see someone coming up behind me at some outrageous speed.
They blow by me so fast it has, at times, rocked my car a little.
As they pass, I'll look at the licence plate.
In most cases, the speeder is from Colorado.
I began to wonder if I was counting wrong, so I asked my radio audience if they had noticed the same thing. It did not matter what station in what part of Wyoming they were listening to. They had all noticed the same thing.
When you are passed by someone going EXTRA FAST, where are they from?
Are the majority from Colorado?
If my observation is true, then I have a couple of theories as to why they drive so fast.
1) Colorado is so congested that when they finally get out on the open highways of Wyoming, they can't help themselves. Their foot goes to the floor. It feels like FREEDOM! (People from Colorado are losing their freedoms as the state goes socialist - so they'll enjoy it when they can).
2) If they are racing back to Colorado, it is only because they ran out of POT or pot pot-laced munchies. They need to get back to where they can buy it legally.
Please watch those license plates that blow by you at insane speeds and let me know if I'm right about this.
