Due to a partial government shutdown, there are long lines at airports nationwide. A few of the country's largest airports report wait times of up to 5 hours just to get through TSA.

But it's always easier to leave from a Wyoming airport. Some even have free parking, and the lines for TSA are never long. How can they be when every flight out of the state is a small regional jet?

It's true that adding an extra leg out of Wyoming will cost a bit more, but the time and aggravation that it saves is well worth it.

You can park for free, in most cases. It's always easy to find a parking spot, and you'll get through security and board in minutes rather than hours.

Then you fly to a major hub and walk around inside while most other passengers are waiting on the other side of security, still waiting to get to where you are. They are all hoping they don't miss their flight.

Flying out of Wyoming is not always more expensive. It just depends on when you do it. When I go to visit family, I'll wait until between Thanksgiving and Christmas, when hardly anyone is traveling. Prices drop drastically during those times.

When you return to Wyoming, your car is right outside. Not over a mile away, where you'll have to use a shuttle, then find your car among the thousands of other cars.

Add that to your list of reasons why you should be glad you live in a state like Wyoming.

Vintage Wyoming Movie Posters

I love walking down the hallway of a modern movie theater and looking at the old posters of vintage movies.

That got me thinking about old Westerns based on Wyoming. How many of those posters are still around?

Many are, and many are for sale online, if you want to decorate your home, or even home theater, with classic and mostly forgotten movie posters.

Most of these films were made before the era of television. Hollywood was cranking out these things as fast as they could.

The plots, the scrips, the acting, directing, and editing were SO BAD, they were good.

The Worst Taxidermy In Existence

Some of these horrible taxidermy jobs are supposed to be bad.

Some were supposed to be good but obviously did not turn out that way.

The Bad Taxidermy Page on Facebook is hours of laughs with shareable images you'll want to send to everybody you know.
