A proposal to build micro nuclear reactors north of Bar Nunn, Wyoming, has brought a lot of questions and concerns from local residents.

The main concern has been waste storage.

But there needs to be some discussion to help us understand what a micro reactor is, and how it works.

The founder of Radiant Energy sat down for a couple of interviews and, frankly, they explain a lot about how these systems work.

The videos below will answer a lot of questions.

Radiant is a clean energy startup building a nuclear microreactor.

A climate-friendly alternative to diesel generators, Radiant's Kaleidos 1MW microreactor will be the world's first portable, zero-emissions power source that works anywhere.

We plan to test our development reactor by 2026 and if successful, it will be the first new commercial reactor design to achieve a fueled test in over 50 years.

Our microreactor can bring power to remote parts of the world and provide backup power for life-saving applications in hospitals or disaster-relief scenarios. (Radiant Website).

Probably one of the most important pages on the Radiant website is the Frequently Asked Questions page.

This page answers questions like what happens to the spent fuel and what happens to everything if the company goes bankrupt.

The biggest question for those in Wyoming is about the waste and its storage.

Wyoming residents don't want to be a dumping ground. But then again, there is not one state in the nation that wants that job.

Public meetings have been held at Bar Nunn, and the state of Wyoming is looking into all issues and concerns.
