Amaizing Wyoming Parks Most Visitors Miss
When exploring Wyoming, most folks just think of a few parks to visit, like Yellowstone and Devils Tower.
But Wyoming has 13 state parks and 28 state historic sites managed by the state's Division of State Parks, Historic Sites, and Trails.
The 13 state parks include:
- Bear River State Park
- Boysen State Park
- Buffalo Bill State Park
- Curt Gowdy State Park
- Edness K. Wilkins State Park
- Glendo State Park
- Guernsey State Park
- Hawk Springs State Recreation Area
- Hot Springs State Park

- Sinks Canyon State Park
Depending on which one you pick, you'll be enjoying mountains, lakes, rivers, canyons, and so much more.
Don't miss out on hidden gems like Ayres Natural Bridge. Located in Converse County, Wyoming, you just might drive by it on Highway 25 if you're not paying attention. It occupies 150 acres between the towns of Glenrock and Douglas, south of Interstate 25 exit 151. The park's name is derived from the rock formation of the same name.

Wyoming boasts a rich frontier and indigenous history. To explore these landmarks, you can visit dozens of state-managed properties, National Historic Landmarks, and National Park Service sites that detail the Old West, mining, the Cold War, and more.
