Wyoming traffic jams are just a little different from those in most other states. At times, we literally get stopped because of a cattle drive. Other times,s it's because a herd of something decided to cross the road.

It's probably a little unfair that animals don't have to obey the same rules as humans in their cars when on the road. We have tried explaining it to them, but they don't seem to care.

In the video below, you can watch a massive herd near Cody, Wyoming, stop traffic as they cross the road.

There are not many states where you can see a movement like this. When it happens, just sit back and enjoy.

What about when the sheep herd needs to be moved? The process is going to take up the entire road, but it needs to be done.

No sense in complaining about it. Just sit back and wait, it will be over soon.

This event took place in Cokeville, Wyoming. There were about 6000 sheep that needed to be moved. What a sight.

Sometimes, a Wyoming traffic jam is caused by just one animal.

Who's going to argue with a big bull bison when it wants to take its time sauntering down the road?

You'll have to explain it to your insurance company if you try to challenge this big guy. Bison have been known to rip cars apart.

The moral of the story is that if you are traveling through Wyoming, sometimes, you'll need to just relax and wait for nature to pass. But then again, that's part of the reason people move here.

Jay Em, Wyoming, Frozen In Time

Jay Em, what an unusual name for a town. The few people who live there are proud of what their spot on earth once was, and they work to preserve it. They keep this little community frozen in time.
