Wyoming Wakes To Coldest Day This Season 01/20/25
If you're reading this on Monday morning, you're waking up to the coldest temperatures this season.
All of Wyoming was experiencing negative temperatures during the early morning hours. Some were in the double-digit lows.
Monday's high temperatures will be in the single-digit lows for most of the state. Some areas will never get out of the negative temperatures.
So, what's our exit strategy from this cold snap?
Yeah, about that...
It will be a bit warmer on Tuesday.
But Tuesday brings winds, which will make it seem colder. A LOT COLDER.
We will warm up a bit as we move towards Friday. But not much. Sorry.
Next weekend is almost a repeat of the previous weekend, with more snow and another cold front moving in.
Sorry to say that you're just going to have to get used to being bitterly cold for a while.
Road conditions across Wyoming are improving. But there will be the constant threat of black ice that won't go away.
Just about when we think the roads are safe again, here comes that snow and ice for next weekend and we are right back where we started from.
We will experience another arctic blast after the next for the next couple of months.
But that's just winter out West, isn't it?
Winter came late for Wyoming this year while it was hammering the states all around us.
That was due to a high-pressure system that parked itself over us. It's gone now and winter has arrived.
On the bright side, the snowpack has been good in the mountains, and we need it.
