Wyoming’s Talk Host Most Embarrising Moment
As Wyoming's state-wide radio talk host, I will take any opportunity to embarrass myself in front of everyone.
I'm so good at it I'll do it without even trying.
There I was at The State Capital, Cheyenne Wyoming. The room was filled with reporters, State Senators' Elected officials, and other dignitaries.
Governor Mark Gordon was about to sign a bill.
I was standing in a corner watching. I chose this position because I was there to observe. I did not want to be seen or recognized.
The Governor picked up his pen and said something to a member of the audience.
At the very moment he mentioned God, my elbow hit the light switch, purely by accident.
The room went dark.
I quickly turned around to see a series of switches. It could not be just one light switch. OH NO. This had to be complicated technology. But I managed to figure it out and turn the lights back on.
I turned to see everyone in the room looking at me and laughing.
Governor Gorden, who had not seen me enter the room, was looking right at me. He was literally pointing and laughing.
What did I say about trying to not be noticed?
No worries. I don't embarrassed easily. I was laughing with the rest of them.
Also, what a perfect way to represent my company, Townsquare Media.
Regular listeners to my talk show, both on radio stations and as a podcast, have learned to expect nothing less from me. So I was not disappointing them.
After all the bills were signed Governor Gordon invited me and a friend of mine into his office to chat about unrelated things.
I'm sure he'll never tell this story to anyone.
But I will.
I'm telling EVERYONE!
