Every year, we have to hear about how much the cost of a Thanksgiving dinner has risen. But that's inflation for you.

Some big box retailers are offering Thanksgiving deals to help ease the pain. Those stores are listed below.

We had a spike in inflation for several years that has now settled. But settled means that prices are not rising much. It does not mean that prices have come down. Some have, but not all.

The prices I'm about to present to you for 2025 are based on a national average. Your community price may vary.

The cost of Thanksgiving 2025 is influenced by higher turkey prices due to supply issues, while some side dishes have lower prices.

One report estimates a traditional meal for 10 costing around $73, and another survey found that many Americans expect to spend an average of $137.

Retailers are also offering deals, with Walmart's Thanksgiving meal basket for 10 costing under $40 and Amazon offering a meal for 5 for $25.

The cost of a Thanksgiving dinner per person in 2025 is estimated to be as low as $4, though this can vary significantly depending on your location and shopping choices.

Average: One analysis estimates the average cost for a traditional feast for 10 is about $73, or roughly $7.30 per person, but this can vary greatly depending on your choices.

Budget-friendly retailers like Aldi and Walmart are offering meal bundles for around $40 to feed 10 people, averaging to less than $4 per person.

Pre-cooked, high-end options are more expensive, with one example from Costco coming out to $25 per person.

A lot of this depends on how many dishes you serve. Cut back on the side dishes, and you've cut back on the price of the meal.
