Charges have been filed against the alleged gunman in Monday's deadly shooting in east Cheyenne.

The Laramie County District Attorney's Office on Wednesday charged Andrew Weaver with two counts of second-degree murder, one count of attempted second-degree murder and two counts of aggravated assault.

The 25-year-old Weaver is scheduled to make his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court on Thursday at 2 p.m.

Weaver is accused of killing 37-year-old Adrien Butler and 30-year-old Shaline Wymer.  The two were found shot to death inside their home at 3436 E. 11th Street around 4:30 p.m. Monday.

Two 14-year-old boys were also shot in the incident, one of whom was life-flighted to Denver.  According to police, the teens didn't live at the house and none of the victims were related.

Police believe the shooting was methamphetamine-related.

Weaver was booked into jail on first-degree murder charges and could have faced the death penalty had the DA's Office not decided to charge him with the lesser crimes.
