Being a cowgirl requires many different skills, including artistic ones.

Each year, there is a gathering of skilled cowgirl artists from across the nation.

This year it will be in Buffalo, Wyoming.

REGISTER NOW to attend.

Art of the Cowgirl will feature female makers, including master artists, silversmiths, braiders, saddle makers, and horsewomen.

The event will not only provide entertainment and honor women of the West, but also facilitate fellowships to individuals to further their knowledge with master artists in their trade of choice.

The contributions of these cowgirl makers are truly worth celebrating, and they look forward to sharing them with you.

Art of the Cowgirl Foundation Wyoming Gathering Buffalo, WY June 12th-15th.

This gathering will feature the Foundation's inaugural Women's Retreat at the historic TA Ranch.

The gathering will also include hands-on workshops and clinics, and a fundraiser dinner and dance.

This is an intimate gathering focused on the Foundation's mission of education, connecting, and collaboration. Participants must sign up for the retreat, clinic, or workshop to attend.

Proceeds from this event will directly support the Art of the Cowgirl Fellowship Program, providing mentorship and education to the next generation of cowgirls and artists.

The workshops and clinics at Art of the Cowgirl are designed to introduce and preserve traditional Western arts and trades.

The clinicians, presenters, and teachers have dedicated years, and even lifetimes, to honing their skills in their discipline of choice.

From leather belt making to photography to cutting and more, the workshop and clinic lineup has something for everyone.

All proceeds from the workshops and clinics help further the mission of the Art of the Cowgirl Foundation to promote and preserve the knowledge of a diverse and talented group of women.

Vintage Wyoming Movie Posters

I love walking down the hallway of a modern movie theater and looking at the old posters of vintage movies.

That got me thinking about old Westerns based on Wyoming. How many of those posters are still around?

Many are, and many are for sale online, if you want to decorate your home, or even home theater, with classic and mostly forgotten movie posters.

Most of these films were made before the era of television. Hollywood was cranking out these things as fast as they could.

The plots, the scrips, the acting, directing, and editing were SO BAD, they were good.
