I think Trump Said He Was Running For A 2nd Term

On Friday morning I came across this headline in The Daily Caller:

EXCLUSIVE: Trump 2024 Is Almost Certainly Happening, His Associates Say, And The 2020 Election Will Be Front And Center.

On Wednesday's show here in Wyoming, former President Donald Trump called to talk about his visit to our state and his rally in Casper on Saturday the 28th.

The article in The Daily Caller is in line with what a lot I and a lot of my listeners were thinking as Trump spoke with us on air.

“If the Republicans take the House and the Senate, Donald Trump will run. If we take the House OR the Senate, Donald Trump will strongly consider running. If we take neither of them, he will not run,” a person familiar with Trump’s thinking said. (Daily Caller).

A lot of things were talked about during my conversation with the former president, but one item in particular stuck out in my head.

Trump spoke about his future in terms of him being president again. You can hear what I mean in the interview below.

I asked him about his strategy for endorsing candidates in the hopes of not just having a Republican house and senate, but in getting rid of "establishment Republicans" or "RINOS."

He seems to be setting the stage for something, as The Daily Caller article points out.

But then I asked him about energy in America. That's where Trump spoke of his future plans. 

Speaking of energy Trump said:

Well I'm going to open it up and open it up strongly...

I actually think they don't know what they are doing. They are either grossly incompetent or they or they've got a plan to destroy our nation.

But we're going to open it up and open it up big.

As Trump was saying these things folks were texting me over the Wake Up Wyoming App, using the "CHAT" option, and commenting, "Sounds like he plans to be president again."

I'll leave the interview below so you can listen for yourself and pick out other places where Trump spoke of himself as being back in the Whitehouse.

“If Biden really does run again, [Trump’s] running without question,” a former senior Trump administration official said. (Daily Caller).

Though, personally, I don't think the Democrats can run Biden again. His mind is too far gone. Even a lot of Democrats have been saying so.

Right now this is all speculation and not everyone agrees on what Trump will do or should do.

“I think that running on the invalidity of the 2020 election is a mistake, because the American people are looking for solutions to the problems that Joe Biden created,” the person with knowledge of the former president’s thinking added. “Will Donald Trump talk about solutions? Absolutely. But unfortunately, he’s wrapped around the axel of what they did to him in 2020. And he’s right, but the American people aren’t as interested in that.” (Daily Caller).

One thing I have learned in life, you never know what is going to happen until after it happens. You can quote me on that.
