Check Out These Cabins In The Beautiful Wind River Canyon
Airbnb rentals have changed the number of options you have for lodging when you're on vacation, need time away, traveling, or just looking for somewhere new to explore.
Since moving to Wyoming a few years ago, I've made it my mission to see and explore as much of the state as possible. I've done a pretty good job of that, and it's hard to choose my favorite place so far, but the Wind River Canyon is near the top of my list.
I've driven through the canyon often, usually on my way to Thermopolis, Kirby, Cody, Meteetsee, or just around the big loop to Worland, Buffalo, and back to Casper. Every time I've driven through, I see cabins, houses, or camping options and always say I will stay in the canyon.
I've never stayed there until now, and I'm not sure I'll ever be able to stay anywhere other than the Wind River Cabins.
I found the cabins on Airbnb. I don't have much experience with the site, but I'll always use it if the experience is as great as Daniel and Leila's Wind River Cabins.
I stayed at the cabin because of the Wyoming Walleye Stampede tournament at Boysen State Park, and I needed a place to stay that wasn't too far away. After sifting through the possibilities for a few minutes, I found the Bobcat Cabin at Wind River Cabins and knew that was the place for me.
The cabin I stayed in, The Bobcat Cabin #2, was one room with two extremely comfortable beds, a small refrigerator, air conditioning, heat, microwave, coffee maker, and a breathtaking view.
There was a bathroom/ Shower cabin just a few feet away, and the room was stocked with snacks, coffee pods, water, clean towels, disposable plates, bowls, and utensils.
My favorite part was that I had zero phone service, but they did offer WiFi if I needed it.
Staying at the Wind River Cabins was a much-needed break from reality.
If you want to escape, I recommend you check out the Wind River Cabins. They have a few different styles of rooms to choose from.
