‘Jack Reacher’ Author Will Visit Cheyenne’s Library in October
Wyoming fans of the Jack Reacher saga, mark your calendars. The Laramie County Library has your chance to meet one of the series' authors this October.
Andrew Grant, author of the acclaimed Cooper Devereaux and Paul McGrath crime novel series, will join guests at the annual Booklover's Bash as one of the featured authors. Fans of the 'Jack Reacher' universe may better know him as Andrew Child.
Who is Andrew Grant, a.k.a. Andrew Child?
Andrew Grant is not the original author of Jack Reacher. That honor goes to his brother, Lee Child. However, Lee announced his retirement from writing the Reacher novels in 2020, passing the baton onto his younger brother Andrew, after which Grant took up the pseudonym Andrew Child.
Grant has some pretty big shoes to fill when it comes to Jack Reacher's world. His brother's creation has sold over 100 million copies over the span of 24+ published novels and spawned a film featuring Tom Cruise as Reacher, a TV series entitled 'Reacher' that launched in 2022. But Lee believes in Grant's writing chops because it was his choice to hand the reigns over to Andrew.
Now, Grant is underway with placing his mark on the impressive legacy of the Reacher universe. He has already been published as a co-author of the Jack Reacher book, The Sentinel, published in 2020, and No Plan B in 2022. On October 24, 2023, his name will appear alongside his brother's for The Secret once more. Presumably, Andrew will soon be writing solo on the Reacher books.
Andrew Grant Visits Cheyenne in October
It may surprise you to find out that Grant is, in fact, a Wyoming resident. According to his official bio, he and his wife live in an undisclosed Wildlife Preserve in the Cowboy State.
Grant will appear in Cheyenne on October 27, 2023 - just three days after the release of "The Secret!"
