SHOCKING! – 54% Of Kids Have Never Seen A Cow
If you grew up in someplace like Wyoming, you've seen cows.
Most people who live out in the country in any state have seen them.
Yet a surprising 54% of young people say that they have never seen one in person.
That's not so surprising when you think of city and suburban life, where most Americans live.
The RV travel site Parked in Paradise recently revealed the results from its survey, which asked 3,500 Americans between the ages of 11 and 24 about what they have seen that was new to them.
42% said that they had never left the United States.
15% said that they had never left their home state.
54% said that they had never seen a cow before.
Honestly, we need to get these kids out more, and their parents too.
It's understandable if some people have never seen certain animals, depending on where they are from.
If you've never been down south then you've probably haven't seen an alligator in its natural habitat.
Someone from the South has never seen a bison out west or maybe a seal on the coastlines.
How many people have ever seen a dolphin in person?
But -- come on now -- COWS?
Cows are everywhere.
This points to the problem of people not knowing where things come from.
That cow could be your lunch or dinner.
Someone who has not seen a cow before won't know if it's for milking or eating.
This is a good indication that we need to get young people out into nature to experience and learn how things in the real world work.
If we can get those cell phones out of their hands.
