In the midst of an unbelievable flood in Yellowstone National Park and surrounding areas, National Park Service Director, Chuck Sams, has issued a public comment on the emergency.
Yellowstone National Park has given an update through its social media as severe flooding had already closed the entrances to the park on a temporary basis. The national park made a post through Facebook on Tuesday (June 14th) that it will be closing some entrances to the park for a 'substantial length of time'.
Over the past weekend, we have definitely lucked out in southeast Wyoming and that is putting it extremely lightly. For some on the northwestern side of the state, things have been terribly heartbreaking and devastating for some. By now, you may have heard how all of the entrances to Yellowstone National Park are currently closed. While this is currently said to be only temporary, some videos show incredible disasters nearby.
