Two File To Run For Laramie County District Attorney

A pair of candidates filed to run for Laramie County District Attorney on the last day to file for the August 16th Wyoming primary election.

The office is currently held by Leigh Anne Manlove, who is potentially facing disbarment by the Wyoming Supreme Court. Manlove did not file to run for another term ahead of the Friday evening deadline.

But Sylvia Hackl Thomas Callison did file for the office, both as Republicans. No Democrats have filed for that office.

It looks like three Republicans will square off for the GOP nomination for Laramie County Sheriff. Former Cheyenne Police Chief Brian Kozak, Capt. Don Hollingshead of the Laramie County Sheriff's Office, and Boyd Wrede will face off in the August primary election. Jess Fresquez has filed for sheriff as a Democrat and will not face a primary battle. Jeff Barnes says he is running for sheriff as an independent candidate, but since he will not be running in a party primary he was not required to file as a candidate yet.

Republican incumbent Sheriff Danny Glick is not running for re-election after several terms in office.
