Somewhere in Wyoming is this little building with the words FORT JOHNSON written on it.

There is a NO TRESSPASSING sign, and a tiny satellite dish on the roof.

Have you seen this?

This little building guards the gate to the ranch house and outbuildings that are just beyond it.

For the record, there has never been a FORT JOHNSON, Wyoming. But there is more than one location where people put FORT in front of their family name.

So, do you have any idea where this is?

Here is a hint:

If you are on the old highway, you'll drive right past it.

If you are on the new highway, you'll speed by it and might not even notice it.

Both highways run very close to each other in this spot.

If you've had enough of taxing your memory, here is where you can find this cute little "FORT."

Just south of Chugwater, Wyoming, is E Bear Creek Road.

You can use that exit to take South Chugwater Highway, which parallels the interstate.

This structure is on the west side of both highways.

Use this link to see it on Google Maps.

If you are driving by on the interstate you'll have a quick glance to see it.

I just want to know what the satellite dish is for.

Is someone really watching TV in there?

I doubt it.

Old Medicine Of The Chugwater Wyoming Drugstore

If you visit the tiny town of Chugwater Wyoming you'll find the newly restored Soda Fountain.

In fact it's Wyoming's oldest soda fountain and malt shot.

It's always worth stopping in for breakfast or lunch, or maybe a shake or malt.

The place was a drug store and soda fountain for the longest time.

Back then soda was actually used to cure an upset stomach.

So what sort of old medicines were left behind by Chugwater's last pharmacist?

It turns out, some of them are on display.
