Of course you've heard of vegetarian and vegan diets. Those folks are always pushing their diet choices on you as if it were a religion. But what about the polar opposite of that?

What if you wanted to have a 100% meat salad?

Well, that is a thing. Let's look at the carnivore diet.

There is such a thing as a meat salad. No greens. A 100% meat salad is a dish made entirely of meat, bound with a creamy dressing like mayonnaise or a savory vinaigrette, instead of leafy greens or vegetables.

I even found a Real Man's Greenless Meat Salad that features ribeye steaks, pork tenderloin, chicken thighs and lamb chops.

How about a 100% bacon salad? It is a rich, savory dish made entirely of crispy bacon varieties and bacon-infused dressings, though traditional "bacon salads" heavily feature bacon as the dominant ingredient with greens or broccoli.

The Carnivore Diet is a restrictive eating plan that involves consuming exclusively animal products while entirely eliminating all plant-based foods. Allowed foods include beef, pork, poultry, fish, seafood, organ meats, and eggs, with some variations permitting small amounts of full-fat dairy like butter or hard cheese. The strictest version, the "Lion Diet," consists only of ruminant red meat (like beef or lamb), salt, and water.

Excluded foods are what you'd expect: fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, and any added sugars or processed carbohydrates.

I'm not advocating this. You should eat your vegies. But I just want everyone to know that this is a thing, and a meat salad is a real option.

Chugwater's Hysterical Pie Eating Contest.

One of Wyoming's smallest towns added a new event. A PIE EATING CONTEST.

The rules are simple:

Not hands allowed.

Eat as much as you can before time is up.

The results are hysterical.
