She's back on top after a short drought.

Alta Wyoming and Teton County native Jaelin Kauf, won the first World Championships moguls medal for U.S. skiers in eight years on Saturday.

She captured the silver medal.

That's her first of two second-place medals over the weekend.

The medal she won on Sunday made four career World Championships medals for Kauf.

She is 26 years old.

Our Wyoming girl is an Olympian that has taken the silver twice at the Olympics.

Back in 2022 in freestyle moguls and is considered the fastest woman on the Moguls World Cup circuit.

She is now ranked in the top 5 in the world.

“That last run against Perrine was [the most fun] I’ve had in such a long time,” she said, according to a U.S. Ski and Snowboard report. “I could just tell we were neck-and-neck the whole way down. That’s exactly what you want for one and two.

“To be on the podium two days back to back made for a really fun World Champs and event here in Bakuriani. I was definitely going for the gold both days but I’ll settle for second. I wanted to just go out and ski my run all day and leave nothing out there, and I didn’t.”

You might remember her name from the Olympics.

Jaelin Kauf, of Alta Wyoming, in Teton County, competed for the United States at the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships 2017 in Sierra Nevada, Spain

It was there that she won a bronze medal in dual moguls and won a silver at the 2019 World Championships in dual moguls.

In the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea where she was among the favorites to medal. However, she finished seventh.

Representing Team USA at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, Kauf won the silver medal in Olympic freestyle moguls.

She placed 3rd in the qualification rounds.

She won SLIVER in the main event.

Now, let's watch that all the way through in the video below when she won the silver Sunday night.

At the end of this run, she was the fastest skier with the fewest mistakes.

She was in the running for GOLD!

Now is just a matter of waiting to see if anyone could do better.

Someone did just a tad bit better and Jaelin walked away with the silver medal.

If you need a little back story on our Wyoming girl, here are two videos that will help you out. The first one gives us her own story in her own words. Where in Wyoming she is from and where her passion for skiing comes from.

She was then featured on NBC where they interviewed our star girl as well as her mom

Mom says Jaelin was skiing before she was born. What she means by that is that mom was skiing when she was pregnant with Jaelin.

Mom and daughter have been together every step of the way. This Olympic run is truly a family team effort.

Feeling like you want to congratulate her? YOU CAN!

Jaelin Kauf has a Facebook page at this link. Feel free to drop in your congratulations and thank her for representing her nation and her state.

This is also a personal goal for her and her mom that they will remember for the rest of their lives.
