Let's go back to 2015 and look at the state's population. 586,389 (2015)
Wyoming's population shrunk between 2015 and 2020. 582,328 (2020).

Campbell County was one of only 11 counties statewide to see a population increase in the year ending July 2024, according to the Wyoming Economic Analysis Division.
Wyoming's growth was spread across 11 counties, less than half of the number of counties in the state.
Between July 2023 and July 2024, Campbell County grew by 0.9%, outpaced only by Sheridan County at 1.2%, Albany County at 1.7% and Crook County at 2.4%.
While Park, Laramie, Natrona, Weston, Lincoln, Bighorn, and Johnson counties all showed some marginal growth.
All other Wyoming counties recorded a decrease in population, with the most extreme being Washakie and Niobrara counties.
A decrease in growth is not always due to people moving out. In some cases, it's the death rate with nobody moving in to replace them.
Employment is a key factor in growth or degrowth.
Campbell County is known for its boom-bust cycle in the energy industry.
With the Trump administration leaning heavily on the growth of coal, natural gasses, and oil, as well as coal and gas power plants, Campbell County might just be in for another population boom.
