Wyoming’s Primary Election Happens This Tuesday
This Tuesday is primary election day in Wyoming.
You can vote early Monday if you want to avoid the lines.
At last count, there were 217,353 registered voters in Wyoming.
Considering the size of Wyoming's population and the number of registered voters, most vote tallying is finished within a few hours of the polls closing.
Last-minute crossover voting is no longer allowed in Wyoming.
You'll have to vote in the party you are currently registered in.
The primary election is when each party in Wyoming picks its candidates for the general election.
But in most counties the Democrat party, the Libertarians, and the Constitution party did do not show up with any candidates at all, leaving only Republicans in the race.
That is why most races in Wyoming are settled during the primary.
It can be hard to keep up with who's running for what office in your area.
Local races are most difficult in a state like Wyoming where most candidates don't raise enough money for proper advertising, and finding where and how to advertise can be difficult.
