It was a night of upsets in Wyoming's primary elections.

Many seats in the House and Senate will see new faces.

Since Wyoming is mostly a Republican state, some of those races were settled in the primaries.

But not all.

The final tally will come in the General Election.

Here is what we know so far.

Harried Hageman had only one GOP challenger, and she won her party's primary with 80.7% of the vote.

On the state level:

Laura Taliaferro beat House Speaker Albert Sommers. This win was shocking to many as Sommers was first elected to the house 24 years ago.

Mike Schmid beat incumbent Cat Urbigkit in a nail-biter of a Sublette County House Race

Julie Jarvis upset freshman and Freedom Caucus member House Rep. Jeanette Ward. Ward had made a reputation for herself with her aggressive legislative style.

Joel Guggemos took out incumbent Ember Oakley in House District 55.

Jayme Lien surprised everybody by beating incumbent Tom Walters in District 38.

Cheyenne's Dan Zwonitzer has been in his house seat for 11 terms. He lost to Ann Lucus of the Freedom Caucus.

There are more races to settle, but you get the idea.

Some well-known faces in the House and Senate that have been around for a long time are gone, and replaced by a night of stunning upsets.

Some of those members who lost had not only been around for many years but had secured powerful positions in The House.

One thing is for sure, this next legislative session is going to be very different, and very interesting.
