First Stupid Tourist Of 2026 Walks in Yellowstone Acid Water

It has begun:

U.S. Attorney’s Office is reminding the public of park rules following the sentencing of a Texas man who stepped on hydrothermal features in Yellowstone.

We have not really gotten into the 2026 tourist season here in Wyoming, and people are already walking into the boiling acid water.

So what haven't we tried? We have signs and rangers, radio and TV commercials. But they just won't listen.

Let's up our signs a bit to see how that works. How about this one?

I think this next sign is too light and not scary enough. Maybe it should say FLUFFY COWS WANT TO KILL YOU, and we put a picture of blood and gore on it.

Too much? I'm beginning to think NOT!

Don't approach and do not pet the fluffy cows. Take your selfies at a safe distance.

What are we supposed to think when a little boy understands this better than the adults?

In the video below, you see a darn cute little boy explain in the simplest possible terms why those people over there should not be so close to those bison.

When asked why they are so close, he has a simple answer.

Ah, yes, from the mouth of babes.

"From the mouth of babes" is a shortening of the idiom "out of the mouths of babes and suckling's," which means that wisdom or truth can come from a child or an inexperienced person.

But these adults will just ignore this kid because they think that he is dumb or just naive.

Why listen to a little kid? What does he know?
