Do Not Try These Wyoming Gas Saving Hacks
Well, here we go again.
Gas prices are rising sharply.
Average gasoline prices in Wyoming have risen 3.9 cents per gallon in the last week.
The average is $3.29/g today, according to GasBuddy's survey of 494 stations in Wyoming.
That's 22.6 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.
It's not just Wyoming, this is happening nationwide.
Here are some clever tips to help you save on gas in Wyoming.
SCARCASM ALERT! While these suggestions are based on facts, you should not take them seriously. Some of these idiot ideas will get you KILLED!
The video below had real ideas, not what I have written.
1. Drive downwind
You might have noticed that Wyoming has a lot of wind. Wyoming wind does not always blow in the same direction. If you can plan your trips on those days that provide a tailwind most of the way you'll save on gas.
2. Always plan downhill trips
Why not get gravity itself on your side? Drive downhill both ways. Get a topographical map and work it out. You'll do fine.
3. Take the inside lane
When on the interstate take the inside lane every time the highway turns. It's unsafe and goes against the rules of the road, so I suggest you DO NOT do this. But you will save several miles on long trips.
4. Skip the A/C
Don't turn the AC on unless you absolutely have to. This actually does save a little gas.
5. Windows up
Rolling down the windows might give you a nice breeze, but it creates drag. For real efficiency, don't drive with your windows down on fast roads.
I guess if you look at suggestions 4 and 5, you'll have to drive in cool mornings this summer, and only then.
The video below has some good suggestions. Don't listen to anything I have said.
6. Stop tailgating
DO NOT tailgate on the interstate, especially with semi-trucks. You might call this drafting like a NASCAR driver. (This is the DUMBEST IDEA EVER and will get you killed DO NOT DO THIS).
