When I first saw this tent tower (or tent condo) I thought, "What? That looks like a fun idea."

Just look at the way people have it decorated, with tents, tables, chairs, and even laundry hanging out to dry.

There are even sofas on the lower level.

But hold on, the more I thought about it the more I realized, this is a DUMB IDEA!

That highrise campsite is a death trap waiting to happen!

That thing is a lightning rod waiting to get hit. Everybody will DIE!

Every time somebody rolls over at night the entire tower is going shake.

When someone gets up in the middle of the night to pee, you KNOW they are not going to walk all the way down to do it. Especially the guys. That means the people in the bottom eleven will be awakened several times a night to the sound of pee hitting the ground near them.

Imagine being able to hear everything everybody is doing in their tents all night long. EVERYTHING!

Highrise Campsite: Nature City (2023).

This eleven-meter-tall structure efficiently hosts up to twelve tents on a minimal ground surface.

Even in this seemingly peaceful landscape next to the IJssel river, the battle for scarce space is taking place.

Presented as part of IJsselbiënnale 2023, the project later traveled to NDSM, Amsterdam.

You can see more pictures of this campsite at this link.

Watch the video below, although it's not in English.

Do you think this thing can stand up against the Wyoming wind? Or will it all come tumbling down?

It's going to be a lot of work the haul all of those pipes to the campsite.

A lot of work to set that up.

A lot of work to take it down.

Let's hope these campers don't have a windy night.

Sure the idea looked like a lot of fun when I first saw it, but after thinking about it for a bit I'm giving this tower idea a big NOPE!

Outstanding Graffiti Train Passes Through Wyoming

We all see the graffiti on trains that pass through Wyoming.

But have you ever paused just a moment to look at it?

A lot is garbage.

But some of this still can be considered art.

Even great art.

Other times it's just an interesting message.
