Cheyenne South kicker Keelan Anderson certainly had a season to remember which was highlighted by a 61-yard field goal in September against Natrona. That 61-yard effort broke a 41-year-old state record and consequently earned Anderson a preferred walk-on offer from the Wyoming Cowboy program. Preferred walk-ons get a spot in fall practice without a scholarship but can earn one in the future.

His powerful leg opened a lot of eyes this season making 9 of 12 field goal attempts and also booted a 57-yard field goal vs. Kelly Walsh, one from 53 yards out against Thunder Basin, and a 47-yarder vs. Campbell County.

Anderson has a background in club soccer and started his prep career at Cheyenne Central and will enroll at UW for the spring semester.
