Cheyenne Man Sentenced In Federal Court For Meth Trafficking

A 36-year-old Cheyenne man has been sentenced to 51 months in prison on meth trafficking charges, according to a release from the U.S. Attorney for Wyoming.

According to the release, John Darryl Hill of Cheyenne was sentenced on January 29 by Chief U.S. District Court Judge Scott Skavdahl for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine.

The release says Hill had pled guilty on November 1, 2023.

Hill Was Arrested Last Summer

The release says Hill was contacted on July 21, 2023, by a Laramie County Sheriff's deputy on a state arrest warrant. At that time Hill handed over a case containing 77 grams of meth and packaging materials.

The case was investigated by the Laramie County Sheriff's Office and the federal Drug Enforcement Administration.
