Wyoming Sheriff’s Office To Auction Cars, Bids Start At $100
The Sweetwater County Sheriff's Office will be auctioning off a half-dozen cars as well as some trailers and boats on Tuesday, September 3.
The auction will be held at 10 a.m. at the Sheriff's Office at 50140B US Highway 191 South in Rock Springs.
Vehicle bids will start at $100, while boat and trailer bids start at $50.
That's according to a post on the agency's Facebook page.
List of Items Up For Bid
According to the post, the following cars, boats and trailers will be up for bid:
- 2010 Hyundai Sante Fe (starting bid of $100)
- 2001 Jeep Cherokee (starting bid of $100)
- 2004 Toyota Sienna (starting bid of $100)
- 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe (starting bid of $100)
- 1983 boat trailer (starting bid of $50)
- Larson Lapine boat (unknown year; starting bid of $50)
- 2002 Ford Ranger (starting bid of $100)
- Homemade trailer (starting bid of $100)
- 1982 Ford E350 Econoline Holiday Rambler (starting bid of $100)
According to the post:
''Our agency occasionally sells abandoned property. After trying to locate the original owner(s), we post notices in public places and publish them in newspapers before the items are auctioned to the public per Wyoming law.
We have no history on any of these vehicles, and most auctioned vehicles have no keys. All vehicles are auctioned as-is, with no warranties expressed or implied. We reserve the right to reject any or all bids.''
Vehicles need to be picked up by Friday, September 6, 2024, during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Only cash will be accepted as payment.
