Yes, he is actually petting a buck in his backyard.

Literally- DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME.

There are many, MANY stories about scared bucks attacking humans with their horns.

This most often happens around rutting season when these animals are at their most aggressive.

The internet is filled with kind animals playing with people, even kids and household pets.

But you really can't take chances when it comes to wild animals.

What we see in the video above is sweet.

But don't count on this happening to you.

In most cases, the animal will just run.

These beasts are afraid of humans, with good reason.

But let's not forget that old "fight or flight" response.

The animal will do one or the other. Let's hope it is not the other.

Below is a video of a mule deer attacking a woman in her driveway.

In this case, the animal felt cornered and scared, with no obvious way out.

So, it tried to go through what it thought would be the path of least resistance.

That would be the person.

How about a look at some deer attacking hunters?

Honestly, can you blame them?

It's a good thing these animals don't have the ability to shoot back or deer season would be a literal war zone.

This next one is odd.

The people in this video are trying to get the deer to leave.

But it won't.

It seems to be stalking them, and it's really creepy.

So if you see a deer in your backyard, go on and take pictures of it.

But don't assume it's safe to approach.
