AH, the romance of winter.

That romantic feeling we get from watching snow falling.

But then we have to go somewhere, like work, and we have to deal with that snow.

After a while snow is like that relative at Christmas time who won't take a hint and leave.

The drought cycle is ending and we are rolling back into a wet cycle here in these western states.

We need the snow. It's our water for the rest of the year.

But at the same time - WE HATE IT!

So let's hear it for the best I HATE SNOW songs on the internet.

This guy's name is John Wayne Donovan. But for a guy named John Wayne, he sure sounds more like ELIVS!

I searched the internet for the best I HATE SNOW song.

This guy has proven that he has really lived it.

He knows what it's like to have to use a credit card to scrape the windshield.

He knows that the plow driver dumped snow on his car right after he cleaned it, on purpose.

He knows what it is to clean the sidewalk, only to turn around and see it filled up behind him.

This is an actual photo of an angry man trying to beat up winter.

His wish is to move anywhere that does not have snow, or so he sings in this song.

But, what he has not thought about is what those places are like in the summer.

I grew up in a place that never had snow. Summer was BRUTAL!

It's just a matter of what you care to put up with.

Unless you can afford to live between the two places.

Those people are called "snowbirds."

Snow Crushes Wheatland, Wyoming Airplane Hangars

This row of hangars goes back many years. Some history was lost under a crush of snow.

March 21st, 2021. A record-breaking snowstorm had shut down most of Wyoming and was not yet done. Below is a gallery of photos as cleanup continues.

One of the small airports in Platte County, Wyoming is Phifer Airfield on Antelope Gap Road, east of Wheatland. Platte County has the Wheatland airport, along with one in Torrington and Guernsey. They were all shut down in the storm.
