Wyoming is known for a lot of great things.

Western history, coal gas and oil, Devils Tower, Yellowstone, and The Grand Tetons, just to name a few.

Wyoming should also be famous for KITTY LITTER!

The state makes a lot of it and some of the best.

Kitty litter is made from granular bentonite, which is granular volcanic ash. Wyoming has lots of that.

Over 90 percent of all bentonite mined in the U.S. and almost half worldwide comes from beds of ancient volcanic ash in Wyoming.

Some call bentonite the mineral of 1,000 uses: It clarifies wine and other alcoholic beverages, forms an impervious liner to keep landfills from leaking, removes ink during paper recycling, and goes into a slew of homeopathic remedies.

Also, Wyoming has a market for a peculiar type of clay. It comes from oil and gas drilling and goes to cat owners who use the stuff to soak up cat urine.

Bentonite mining and processing continues to employ almost 700 people in Wyoming, thanks in no small part to cat owners.

I just found a website for Wyoming Sunmade Kitty Litter.

Yes, they dry it in the Sun.

Sun-drying produces a soft low dust texture that completely eliminates the nasty cloud of dust normally associated with filling the litter box.

Superior raw material that naturally fights odors and makes hard clumps
Scent and chemical-free making it Hypoallergenic.

So the next time you take your cat on vacation, take him/her to Wyoming and show them where the stuff in their kitty litter box comes from.

Heck, the entire state of Wyoming is a big kitty litter box. (Wait... that did not sound right.)

The Worst Taxidermy In Existence

Some of these horrible taxidermy jobs are supposed to be bad.

Some were supposed to be good but obviously did not turn out that way.

The Bad Taxidermy Page on Facebook is hours of laughs with shareable images you'll want to send to everybody you know.
