The most heavily regulated and taxed cigarettes in America are in New York City. If you want to buy the cheapest cigarettes that are not taxed and completely unregulated, go to New York City where the underground economy is BOOMING!

The same rule applies to everything else.

Let's take guns for example.

Here are excerpts from a website called Center Square.

In most of the country gun control laws are lax. The resulting patchwork of regulations has helped create a thriving black market for gun trafficking. Each year, thousands of firearms that were purchased in states with virtually no gun control laws end up in the hands of criminals in states with tight firearm restrictions.

According to 2021 data from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, 41.0% of traced guns in Wyoming were sold by an out-of-state retailer - the 10th largest share in the country. Firearms traced by the ATF typically have been used, or are suspected to have been used, to commit a crime.

Of all guns traced in Wyoming, 5.2% came from Colorado, the largest out-of-state source. Montana and Idaho accounted for the second and third largest shares, at 4.4% and 3.9% respectively.

Now hold on.

Chicago has some of the strictest gun laws in the nation.

Yet that city is a literal WAR ZONE!

Guns come flooding in, freely, unregulated, and untaxed through their thriving underground market.

The same is true for other parts of the country with heavy gun laws, like New York and California.

The problem is not the gun. The problem is that there are crazy people out there who want to do harm.

Also, just because Wyoming citizens engage in private gun sales does not mean that most of those guns are going toward crime and murder. Most of those sales are just that, private sales between law-abiding citizens.

Some years ago the UK almost completely banned all guns, in the hopes of ending what they called "gun violence."  They actually got most guns off the streets and out of homes.

But the murder rate actually went UP.

The reason, killers switched to knives.

To solve the murder problem we can't look at the tool the murderer uses. We have to look at why this person wants to kill.

Once again, a lame internet study misses the point and FAILS by not looking at everything they need to look at in order to draw a conclusion.
