Watch Interview With Brent Bien GOP Candidate For Gov of Wyoming
There is more than one candidate running for Governor of Wyoming in the upcoming GOP primary.
Hoping to take the top spot from current governor Mark Gordon is Brent Bien from Sheridan, Wyoming.
You can hear my interview with him in the video below.
Brent knows why he is running and gets right to the point. His military background means that when he is asked a question he actually answers it. If you speak to him in person you will not get the usual politician non-answer answer and runaround.
Brent Bien is a retired military officer who understands leadership.
He is a Laramie native who retired to his home state of Wyoming after decades in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Bien retired as a colonel and served in Bosnia/Herzegovina, Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Iraq.
Bien and his wife, Susan now live in Sheridan. Susan works at the Veterans Affairs hospital in Sheridan.
The focus of his ideas are to strip the federal government of much of its power and influence in Wyoming, bringing the power back to the state and local governments where he thinks decision-making is supposed to be.
This would be cutting the state free of a lot of the federal dollars that it now takes in. But if Wyoming is in charge of its own recourses it will not need much of that federal money, according to Brent.
He has certainly been doing the footwork necessary to get his name out, making appearances around the state, and getting writeups in local and state-wide media.
